Efficient water management for tree plantations

Infiltration crates support Tera Barra’s sustainable Water System

Water issues at tree plantations on Bonaire call for fast and effective solutions. Tera Barra, a native garden dedicated to preserving local biodiversity, encountered problems with their water pump — water wasn’t flowing properly, and the cause wasn’t immediately clear.

They turned to the specialists at Wildkamp Caribbean for expert advice. Drawing on their experience, the team proposed an innovative solution: using infiltration crates to buffer and gradually release water into the soil. This approach not only resolved the water flow issue but also ensured the trees received a steady, automatic water supply.

Through close collaboration with Tera Barra and the implementation of this technical solution, the plantation’s water system was restored, supporting healthy tree growth with minimal maintenance.
