Description
This brass threaded coupling can be used to easily and quickly make a connection between gas or water pipes without welding or soldering. The pipe is clamped and secured by tightening the nut at the compression fitting.
Installation
Make sure the pipe is burr-free. This will prevent a cramped pipe. Slide the pipe into the coupling and tighten the nut. The inner ring will then pinch and 'cut' into the pipe, creating a solid connection where the following applies: tight is tight. Do not over-tighten the nut as this may cause leakage. The reinforced flat surface ensures optimum grip during installation. Use appropriate tools during installation to prevent damage.
