Description

This Girair 90° elbow is used in compressed air piping systems. The blue color indicates that it is suitable for compressed air.

Features

The Girair compressed air 90° elbow is resistant to static and alternating pressure, tensile forces, is maintenance-friendly and completely leak-proof.

Material

The PVR material is fully recyclable.

Fire safety

The Girair system is flame retardant according to class M2 and fire class Bs1do.

Assembly

The Girair 90° elbow is quick and easy to assemble because it is light in weight. For assembling the system you need the following: a pipe cutter, deburrer and cold-welding polymeric glue.

The assembly takes only a few steps:
  • Cut the pipe to size with a plastic pipe cutter and bevel the edge.
  • Deburr the ends and mark the insertion depth.
  • Apply a thin layer of cold-welding polymeric glue to the pipe and fitting up to the insertion depth, slide the fitting straight over the pipe (do not rotate) and hold it for a few seconds.
After assembly and drying time, a pressure test must be done. The test lasts 12 hours during which no pressure drop must be observed. The test pressure must be 1.5 times the working pressure with a maximum of 12.5 bar.

Note: The Girair system is not suitable for medicinal air, flammable gases or applications that require the absence of silicones.
