Description

This Girair polymer glue is a fast-drying glue and is used in Girair piping systems.

Usage

A brush is supplied with the cold-weld polymer glue.
  • Cut the tube to size with a plastic tube cutter and bevel the edge.
  • Deburr the ends and mark the insertion depth.
  • Check that the tube/fitting is dry, dust- and grease-free.
  • Apply a thin layer of cold-weld polymer glue to the tube and fitting up to the insertion depth, slide the fitting straight over the tube (do not rotate) and hold it for a few seconds.
After assembly and drying time, a pressure test must be done. The test lasts 12 hours during which no pressure drop must be observed. The test pressure must be 1.5 times the working pressure with a maximum of 12.5 bar.

Note: The Girair system is not suitable for medicinal air, flammable gases or applications that require the absence of silicones.
