The Girair fitting is quick and easy to assemble because it is light in weight. The coupling has an external/internal adhesive x female thread connection. For assembling the system you need the following: a pipe cutter, deburrer and cold-welding polymeric adhesive.The assembly takes only a few steps:
- Cut the pipe to size with a plastic pipe cutter and bevel the edge.
- Deburr the ends and mark the insertion depth.
- Apply a thin layer of cold-welding polymeric adhesive to the pipe and fitting up to the insertion depth, slide the fitting straight onto the pipe (do not rotate) and hold it for a few seconds.
