Description
This RIV ball valve, type 4601 is used to quickly and easily open or close a water pipe. This is useful if a pipe needs to be temporarily shut off, for example during maintenance.
Please note: if applicable, take the direction of flow into account, which is indicated by an arrow.
Properties
The ball valve has a blue lever; there is no technical difference between a ball valve with a blue or red lever. The blue lever is often used for cold water and the red lever for hot water, but the choice is up to the installer.Installation
Installing a ball valve takes just a few steps:- Cut the pipe to size and deburr the ends to prevent any damage to the pipe.
- Slide the pipe into the ball valve until it reaches the stop edge.
- Tighten the compression fitting with a spanner.
